Columbia College and Columbia Engineering utilize the College Board IDOC Institutional Documentation Service to securely collect and scan domestic families’ federal tax returns and other financial aid documents. Students will receive an IDOC instruction email with their IDOC ID# after the online submission of the CSS Profile. Applicants submit their materials to IDOC, and IDOC notifies Columbia when the materials have been processed.
Application materials may be submitted to IDOC by electronic upload or mail. Documents uploaded to IDOC are generally received by Columbia University within 3-5 business days. We strongly advise that families submit documents online, since mailed documents will take longer to process.
