You and your family have been preparing for this moment for years, and we are here to assist you with your plan to pay for college. Our mission is to help all students admitted to Columbia College and The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, regardless of financial circumstances, achieve their goal of attending Columbia University and pursuing the world class education they have worked so hard to attain.
Here are some of the ways we make Columbia affordable for families:
We meet the full demonstrated financial need for all students admitted as first-years and transfer students pursuing their first degree.
We conduct a careful, individualized review of each applicant’s financial information every year in order to fully understand each family’s unique financial circumstances.
We offer one-on-one support throughout a student’s enrollment at Columbia, regardless of financial aid status, including guidance about the financial aid application process, student and parent loans, paying the bill, budgeting and more.
Financial aid at Columbia is need-based. There are no academic, athletic or talent-based institutional scholarships. Instead, we evaluate your family’s ability to pay based on the information you provide us in your financial aid application. There is no official income limit for financial aid eligibility. Because need-based financial aid is determined by many factors, including income, assets, family size and number of children in college, we encourage you to apply if you have any concerns about your ability to pay.
