Financial Aid Policy
Significant financial aid is available for foreign students, although financial need is taken into consideration at the time of admission. Each year Columbia admits a large number of foreign students, many of whom receive a substantial amount of financial aid.
To be considered for financial aid, foreign applicants must indicate their interest in applying for financial aid at the time of their admission application. Once admitted, foreign students may not subsequently change to applying for aid.
If financial aid is not awarded to a foreign applicant at the time of admission, it will not be awarded for any subsequent years.
Columbia will meet 100% of demonstrated financial need for all transfer foreign students who qualify for aid at the time of admission.
